continuing day 1

Hi.

Today, I will write about a trip to NY until I get to the place for the practice.

After a connection (to NY,) it took about three hours on the plain, and I arrived at Newark.

Approximately,
it was passed 9 at night.

Oh, no, I found out that the hotel was very far from the airport for saving money by being stingy. (´Д` )

And I had to get on a shuttle bus but had absolutely no idea where I needed to get on, which one I needed to get on.

I just kept shouting, "Times Square." (laugh)

And I finally found the bus ($16) going to a place for the hotel near the Broadway.

Wait!

Wait! Wait! Wait!

Pee.

I had to pee! (laugh)

Really, I wasn't feeling calmed at all. (laugh)

If you were a Japanese, you will be surprised to see there was a pod and a tab in the bus. Oh, my god.

I am still writing this in the noon, and I excuse myself not writing more details. (laugh)

A bu, bucket!

That was how I felt.

I arrived at a hotel, spoke a few words in broken English and checked in.
and I walked through Times Square.

It was about the midnight, but lots of people were still there.

I couldn't believe it.

NY.

I just had a really terrible meal in the airplane, and I was starved to death.

But this place was not Japan-

Zaru Soba　(cold soba on a bamboo draining basket)

was what I wanted.

I only found pizzerias. (laugh)

In fact, there were lots of pizzerias.

"Do people here like pizza that much?"

I just wanted to make a sarcastic comment.

For the heck of it, I decided to try out.

Vegetable Pizza.

Wait a minute,

I couldn't believe it.

What outrageous this pizza was!

One piece (in NY) would be about the same amount of four pieces in Japan.

Needless to say, I couldn't finish it.

I took a cup of coke I didn't finish with me and went back to the hotel.

After that, I was so tired that I fell into sleep deeply.

That was what I did in day 1.

I am back from NY.

Gradually, I will write about a trip with the title of "Kamiki"s Trip to NY" in this blog.

Day 1

I got to the Narita International Airport two hours before the departure time, but for some reason, I didn't feel well.

I borrowed Wi-Fi and checked in at the counter.

Busy, busy....

And I got on the airplane just before the departing time.

(laugh)

Well, I flew to Chicago for a connection (to NY) and took 10 hour to get there. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

My butt was in pain badly. My knee was in pain badly,
I couldn't sleep well. Food was awful.

It didn't take me much longer to figure out this was very hard. (laugh)

My ears were barely coped with the pressure in the cabin, and this or that, I got to Chicago.

Suddenly, everyone was talking in English.

I didn't know a terminal for the connecting flight.

The airport was humongous.

I was panicked and spoke broken English with a bunch of gestures, trying to speak someone seemingly kind.

I'm...going....

Ei, tto no noritugi, Ei to change Ei tto
えーっと…の、のりつぎ…えーっと…チェンジ…えーっっと…

I bet people thought of me a strange person. (laugh)

Finally, I showed my ticket, and one found out that I was looking for the terminal.

While I was waiting for a connecting flight, I bought a cup of water, an unreasonably huge amount of salad, a croissant like bagel with tuna and celery.

I was humming and eating the food graciously, but suddenly people near the gate were gone....

Well, twenty minutes to departure

I was about to get on the plain, and the sign at the gate was gone!

Why?
....Why??

Oh....

Oh....

Un, Unbelievable!

Yes, unbelievable, the gate change!

And I needed to walk 15 minutes to the new gate.

I would not make it....

I am in a problem, problem!!

My face looked dreadful, and I ran fast to get there.

.....what?

.....

One hour delay!

I felt relieved.

Well. after all that, it turned out fine.

I didn't think how hard it was not being able to understand English.

(laugh)

Without any problem, the connection went smoothly.

This was how things went through at the airport......

It was a very short period of time (at the airport,) but writing about it takes this long.

I got to a place for the practice, and I will write more story later.
